It happens regularly, but under seemingly different conditions. Sometimes, when I boot up, the bar is a random color (it's supposed to be white). Usually, it is just white at boot, but changes when I run an application or two. Which applic doesn't seem to matter: sometimes, it happens on the first applic I run (no matter the size -- 2MB SuperCard or 512K Telnet both do it); other times, it happens on the second or third. I've even seen a unique color for each applic. WHAT'S HAPPENNING HERE??? My system consists of: IIcx/8MB/Apple 40MB internal/Apple 8bit color card/Apple color monitor/Kinetics EtherPort II card System 6.0.5/Multifinder always/many INITs: Color Desk (w/300K picture)/WDEF/ Dimmer/hierDA/Color Icons/SAM/SUM II Shield/TOPS/Oracle (~450K)/Responder/ Suitcase II. My thoughts were that my system heap space was too full. Isn't this dynamic, though? If not, how do I increase it? "About the Finder..." says: 1812K for System, with little "in use" bar about 90% black. Thanks for the assist. in advance. Guy (purcell@zeus.sdsu.edu)
