Since Lesktop is invisible, I only see it from Disktop. I've encountered this file on hard drives and on floppies. Who creates this file and under what circumstances? Deleting it seems to cause no problems. I haven't noticed any system problems that I could reasonably attribute to the presence of this file. I have an instance of Lesktop on one of my partitions that was created on 5/13 around 3PM; I recall using the Mac about that time. The last time I rebuilt the Desktop on that partition was months before (if ever). Poking around in Lesktop with ResEdit reveals a structure similar to Desktop. I'm running 6.0.5 on a IIcx with 5MB and an internal 105MB drive partitioned with Silverlining. Thanks for any info.
