     They use either NFS or TFTP for file access and for network booting.

     The newer units, model 3412, also support the ability to download X Window
     Clients.  At the recent Xhibition show in San Jose, NCR demonstrated both
     twm and mwm as downloaded clients running on the TOWERVIEW.  Twm (Tab
     Window Manager a.k.a. Tom's Window Manager) and mwm (Motif Window Manager)
     normally run on a host machine in the network.  Running these Clients on
     the TOWERVIEW significantly reduces network traffic and improves the
     response of window manager activities.  NCR has not yet announced the
     availability dates for these downloaded window managers.  NCR also
     demonstrated Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) support on the
     TOWERVIEW as well as the announcements of new color and gray scale
     models for the TOWERVIEW family.
