I prefer a newsgroup (actually, I prefer to do it in comp.sys.next until
the volume gets much higher).  News postings don't take that much longer
than mail anymore, ever since NNTP conquered the backbone.

I pipe all mailing lists I'm on into local newsgroups anyway, since I don't
want discussions cluttering up my mailbox, and so that other people can
benefit from them.  My mailbox is for my own mail.
