I have used it to connect to remote machines through a RS232 port. I suppose to work through the ethernet, but I haven't managed to get it to work there. On the 4D's I think you can use X windows to get an emulator. I haven't had the need to try it on a 4D so I haven't checked into it. -- Brent L.
