  I don't know what your problem is, but this just isn't true. I have a
number of programs which load the pallette, including fractint. They are
able to load the pallette even on the old version (about feb 89) of
VP/ix).

  You may have some other problem, and I bet it's easier to fix than
VP/ix would be. Good luck.
