Don't know if Karl was speaking of the WD 1006 only or the 1006 family.
I'm currenly running a WD 1006V with both Xenix/386 2.3.2 and ISC 2.0.2.
Neither has ever exhibited a problem that could be remotely traced to the
hard disk subsystem.
