We seem to have picked up a nasty. Thus far its effect has been to
blank one ?cell/bit? in some characters on a mono VGA display. In other
words the h looks like this:

hhhhhhh

h     h
h     h

with a cell missing.

I've not seen mention of this before; Suggestions anyone?
