The first problem involves the infamous 'fish' demo. Apparently the fish icons look are messed. This is because 3.0 uses 4 bits of color and 2.* used only 3 bits of color. Apparently you can you the conversions supplied in some of the paint programs to convert from 8 colors to 16. Another problem has to do with memory access. I don't know the exact symptoms but removing himem.sys from you .ini file eliminates the conflict. This shouldn't be construed as a permanent fix, removing himem.sys slooooows your memory managment. Basically it lets some of the older apps run. Found this out at the Boston Computer Society MSWindows/ Presentation Manager subgroup. Pretty neat. - Andrew Hudson abh02gte.com
