What shook me when I tried to load the win 3.xx driver was the little
note "will not run 386 extended mode with this driver/controller";  I
assumed the worst i.e. that windows 3 would NEVER run 386 mode with the
ATI or other SVGA boards.  I hear now that a proper driver will
eliminate the problem, also that new versions of Amipro and several
other products will be significantly faster under Windows 3.

All else considered, windows 3 appears to be quite well done and may 
actually be all that is needed for desktop micro OSs for the next
several years.  One warning;  the solitaire game, aside from being
totally addictive, appears to be hard on human eyes.
