I am seeking advice/opinions as to which people feel is a better buy. I am familiar with Mac's, so I am inclined to purchase one. A Mac SE/30, 5mbytes, 40 mbyte hard drive will cost me ~ $2500 (student discount). A Mac SE, similarly equipped will be around $1000 less. How much will similar environments cost for a PC klone? I assume that this means a 386 box with 4 mbytes of memory, mouse and Windows, which seems to be ~ $2500? Do 386sx boxes have enough horsepower? Please reply directly back to me - I can summarize if anybody wants. (jolly@ferrari.ece.cmu.edu or jl2m@andrew.cmu.edu)
