Lines: 26 I have need for the following type of hierarchy: myapp*list: item1 item2 item3 myapp*item1: element1 element2 ... What I would like to do is to have the application know about a predetermined list of items, but allow items to be added or deleted by the user as needed. For example, the user may want to say myapp*item1: +element3 -element2 and have "element3" added to the list, and "element2" removed from the list, or myapp*list: +item4 myapp*item4: element1 element6 element33 What would the most reasonable way to do this be? I want my application to be completely modifiable within the X resource hierarchy without any level having to know a lot about the other levels. -- David Elliott dce@smsc.sony.com | ...!{uunet,mips}!sonyusa!dce (408)944-4073 "If I had a hat the size of Oklahoma, I'd be a happy person."
