I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, perhaps you could provide a simple code example? By the way, are said pixelation rules different/better in X11R4 than X11R3? The R4 server is believed to do arcs correctly (well, it actually is rather difficult to do the straight-line Pie/Chord edges exactly, but we come very close), at least a server using strictly the cfb/mfb/mi code. I can't say about other ddx implementations. We don't have R4 yet (from HP), so I was kind of hoping the problem was at least reduced??? I can't speak for the correctness of HP's ddx layer, I haven't analyzed it.
