I'm sure that this has been discussed before... what I want to know
is when someone is going to FIX this BUG...

xterm puts newlines where they don't belong when text is put into the 
clipboard.  Specifically, it inserts newlines where the lines wrap at
window boundaries.

I hated this BUG in R3... I thought it would be fixed in R4... then I
thought it would be fixed when we got to R4 fixlevel 11... Sigh.
