Then don' worry... the plastic does NOTHING, as far as I know, 'cept make people feel safer than when there was only a metal screen. (Seems folks were worried about microwaves getting through the holes). The uwaves that worry me are the ones with the grid painted on a glass door. I like a sturdier grid.
