Keywords: Single user database libraries with source $20 Message-ID: <443@eds1.UUCP> Date: 8 Jun 90 13:17:06 GMT Distribution: comp Organization: EDS - Senate of Pennsylvania Lines: 24 While this hardly ranks up there with the $$ implementations of Ingres and Oracle, I've begun toying (likely the right word for now) with the MIX database toolkit from MIX Software in Richardson Texas. ($20 with source:-) The kit contains a C*tree library and an ISAM library as well as a nice suite of sample applications and ample documentation (teaching oriented). Also of use are conversion utils for DBASE-III files, and a forms oriented data manager written with the system. Licensing on the package is very generous, to the tune of *you may not distribute anything in linkable form*. (sounds good to me) My purpose in posting is to determine whether anyone who has gone further than I in developing with the toolkit has discovered any significant holes or problems. My experience so far has been encouraging. - Jon -- J.D.
