Lines: 14 As some of you may know, the Arpanet passed into history without much of a fanfare last Friday. I think we should hold a wake for it at Usenix. At the same time, please note that the SAIL system is about to pass it's 25th anniversary and be taken out of service. I logged on to it earlier today, for the first time in nearly a decade. We should toast to it in rememberance too. Will some organized soul figure out what time and which bar? - Brian (Remember the public "PARRY" program back in 1972? I used to spend hours logged on to our Burroughs B6700 over the Arpanet to SAIL playing with PARRY)
