I have been trying to upgrade my vanilla PH ST1.1 MINIX in what spare time I can find in the wee hours of some mornings (just before going to bed). Besides an earlier posting about missing sed.c which you later corrected, I am having the following problems: (my process has been to apply the PC1.5.0 and ST1.5.0 upgrades to get to ST1.5.0; I have only compiled libc.a to date) There are no sources (that I can find) on any of the 1.5.x upgrades, PC1.4 upgrades, ST1.1FIX upgrades or the original PH ST1.1 diskettes for: ar.c at.c atrun.c cc.c fdisk.c libpack.c libupack.c lorder.c readclock.c tsort.c bawk/* de/* dis88/* [OK] ic/* indent/* kermit/* m4/* nroff/* zmodem/* These are the result of checking the 1.5.0 crc lists. I have not (nor do I want to at this time) proceeded to 1.5.1+ until I can resolve these discrepancies. Also, when I try to compile some modules (like patch & make), I get the *.o files, but the linker always fails with undefined labels whether I use the original PH V1.1 or recompiled 1.5.0 versions of libc.a. Any suggestions? I am in no particular hurry; I am more interested in proceeding in a fashion which is reproducible (i.e., not relying on outside sources for sources, fixes, etc.) I am trying to do the upgrade strictly with the original sources and official postings. Thanks, Pierre Fortin fortinp@bnr.ca P.S.: I'll be away for 1.5 weeks with no access to the net and my news gateway ages articles in 3-4 days, so feel free to take your time responding (I'd hate to miss your answers). I suppose I could ftp the acrchived messages from vm1.nodak.edu if it is still archiving(?).
