I think my controller automagically spins the drive up whenever I reboot
the machine - I can feel vibration in the drive somewhere begin and it makes
tracking noises. Re the drive light, I feel kinda dumb now.  A RZ23 doesn't
HAVE a drive light...  Thus I saw no telltale flash from within my expansion
chassis.  If it had a light, I guess I'd probably see it.  I still don't get
the DEC label and device type like I do with any other arbitrary SCSI device
I've tried.
