Run KA9Q on the PC with 2 Ethernet cards installed or even 1 Ethernet
and 1 Token Ring.  I havn't found a better or less exspensive router
running on a PC.  KA9Q can be FTP'ed from flash.bellcore.com

Yes it works fine on a MicroChannel bus.  I'm not sure how a 3COM
server operates do I can't really answer this, though I highly
doubt that the 3COM software and KA9Q would be happy sharing an
ethernet card.
