If you are considering buying Excellerator from Index I would
recommend that you contact Charles River Development for information
on their tool called Data-Station.  They compete directly with Index
and have a far superior product (IMHO).

Some of Data-Station's features: AutoCAD based design system; data
dictionary built in a SQL based relational database; access to
dictionary by ~60 screens and over 80 reports; open architecture,
users may define their own reports, screens, and even methodology;
support for E-R, Yourdan/DeMarco, and Gane & Sarson models (among
others).
