The correct filenames and paths are being given to movemail, in rmail.el. As is, I believe movemail is trying to create the lockfile of the form: /usr/spool/mail/gplan.lock but gplan as such does not have permissions for that. Making movemail includes specification of the definition "MAIL_USE_FLOCK" -- I left this undefined, but don't remember if I knew why ... . Is this the problem, and is the cure to remake movemail with "MAIL_USE_FLOCK" defined? Or is it something else? Thanks in advance for your help. (Please email to me.)
