Message-ID: <1990May29.234843.7901@cbnewsj.att.com> Date: 29 May 90 23:48:43 GMT Distribution: na Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories Lines: 28 Hi, I just received the new FATTER agnus chip in the mail today. It came by itself, and I didn't have a special chip extractor, so I used a modified paper clip to pull out the old chip. (I just gave a tug on the corner, and the chip came flying out! I damaged the corners though, but the pins still make contact.) Anyway, I put the case back and turned the computer on. It seems to work fine so far, although it crashed on FastMemFirst. *However*, the chip memory indicator still shows total chip memory of 512k. Typing 'Avail' also shows the same thing: Chip: 512k Fast: 512k expansion: 2 meg. Now, am I doing something wrong? Is there something I should do to activate the new agnus? I know this was discussed a while ago on the net, but I missed the postings. Would some informed person *please* email or post some information on the fatter agnus? Everything else seems to work fine. I just can't get past the 512k chip memory limit and I thought thats what the fatter agnus was supposed to circumvent. Please reply soon!
