After installing the RAM, I ran the RAMTest software provided and everything was fine. This was about two weeks ago. Last week, my A500 started reseting itself during boot. It would start to load WB and then reset. There were no weird screen colors (ie. no green screen to indicate bad RAM). My first reaction was to remove the A590 and make sure the computer was okay. To my surprise, the computer still kept reseting itself. My next move was to remove the A501 memory expansion. After this, my Amiga was fine. No reseting. I reconnected the A590 and reran the RAMTest software. No memory problems in the new RAM. So, what is wrong with my A501? It is about 2 years old. Is the RAM bad? (If the computer didn't reset, it would GURU with "illegal instruction".) This seems like a RAM problem. How can I check? Is there an easy fix? Vinh Le BitNet: vle@UCSD.EDU
