No matter how nice something is, someone will always find something to nitpick about (I was going to say something about people expecting to find menus inside of SHELLS, but I won't...). I think the new OS is great...not only is it the best, in my opinion, personal computer GUI in both style and functionality, it can also hold its own when compared with the likes of Motif and other UNIX interfaces. I've just got one question...what will the final version of 2.0 look like, when it's frozen in ROM? How many of you have noticed the dissimilarities among versions of 2.0? I have seen FOUR...subtle differences, but they were there. Go look at the A3000 setup at your local dealership. Then look at the screen-shots in the system's manual. Now go look at the photos in BYTE and AmigaWorld. While the overall look was the same, 3-D windows, more convienient sliders, and a triangular window resizer...check out the top window gadgets, the close, zoom, and depth gadgets. How many others can YOU spot?;^) //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// UUCP: ...!crash!pnet01!pro-party!seanc | ARPA: !crash!pnet01!pro-party!seanc@nosc.mil | " Fanatics have their INET: seanc@pro-party.cts.com | dreams, wherewith they | weave a paradise for RealWorld: Sean Cunningham | a sect.
