Anyone played this fantastic game/simulator?

A few things bugs me though.

1 - I start as LtCOL and when I have played for a while I get promoted to 
     Captain - and to Major - and to Colonel. All in 3 seconds. Is this a bug
    or what?

2 - When I play at the Middle East scenario, don't remember the mission, but
    I am supposed to attack some tanks crossing a border at the west of the
    battlefield. I can't find the f&$#%@* tanks! How shall I do?

3 - How can I use the MFDS (or what the name is) nr 2. The screen in the
middle       when I use the mode with the horizont and a radar beam or
something, scanning     from side to side.  Don't tell me to read the
manual. I have tryed that...

I'm thankful for every experience you have with this great combination ,
Shoot'em Up/Flight Simulator.
