I read in Amiga World that the only problem with using a 500 hard
drive on a 1000 is that you have to turn it around and put something
under it to raise it to the level of the bus expansion. I would assume
that this means you could use a drive meant for a 1000 on a 500,
provided you flipped it around and put something under the 500. Any
reason this wouldn't work? Any possible ill effects, or
incompatibilities? Would there be any way to autoboot from it, or does
that require newer hardware in addition to 1.3?
