The pbmplus utilities on the contrib tape of the MIT R4 X Window tape
are going to replace the current pbm/R3 utilities when the 3.2 release
of X11 for the Amiga is ready sometime 3rd Q.

It was not difficult to port the pbm stuff under lattice 5.0. I
expect the pbmplus stuff should not be any harder.
