Unless you are looking for GS specific programs, the communications job is
more than adequately filled by Talk Is Cheap now available from Quality
Software (under $50).  A shareware version is usually floating around the
Apple BBS's/Compuserve/Genie.

Proterm is also excellent.  Depends on how you like your user interface. 
Costs about $20 more, so TIC is the best deal for the money and has an
excellent scripting language.
