Unfortuantely, coverting files to ascii and then doing a file transfer is something I want to avoid (the coverting to ascii, that is). What I want to do is to convert a commodore file in a particular format (e.g., Bank Street Writer) to a particular dos format (e.g., WordPerfect). I could transfer a commodore file via modem to an ibm-pc, and then run this program to convert to WordPerfect format. [Or, convert to WordPerfect format and then do the file transfer if there is such a program written for the commodore.] I have heard of one such file for the ibm-pc -- it's called Word for Word, which supposedly will convert commodore files to particular dos formats (among other things) after the files have been transferred to the pc. Are there any shareware or public domain programs that do the same job as Word For Word? -- George Randels University of Virginia Dept. of Religious Studies (gdr2f@virginia.edu)
