Hopefully, someone else has done this already, and I dont need to reinvent the wheel! I took the drive, and formatted it on a Rainbow, for the simple reason that there doesnt seem to be any kind of formatting program for the Pro (Venix and RT-11) After it formatted just fine (think it only had one hard sector error), I tried to INIT it under RT-11XM. Now my problem starts. I set the drive select jumper (at least, thats what I think it is) for 0. Now how do I actually INITialze it? There is DWX.SYS and DUX.SYS on my system disk, but I cant INSTALL DU, RT-11 complains that its an illegal device. Never initially installed? I did some nasty work with SET DU CSR and such and was finally able to INSTALL it, but when I LOAD it, blam, bye-bye machine... INIT DW0: gives an error reading input or something similiar... Just -how- do I go about this? Many thanx Billy D'Augustine Azog-Thoth@cup.portal.com
