For what it's worth, I've been using a regular phone cable for about 2 years
now, with no ill effects to connect the keyboard to my Rainbow.  I believe it's
the kind that connects the handset to the actual phone (I don't remember
whether that's different from the ones that connect the phone to the wall
outlet, but I think it may be).
