The MPE is a 'propietary' operating system used on the
HP-3000 computers. It comes in two flavours, the MPE-V
used in the conventional machines and the MPE-XL used
in the newest RISC ones.

The HP-3000 is the HP business or commercial line of
computers. HP-1000 is the industrial/technical line
and uses RTE (Real Time Executive) OS and the HP-9000 is
the all purpose Unix based line.

What do you want to know about the MPE?
