I was able to verify the following: * Monogram S/W has been bought out by Software Toolworks of Northridge, CA. Their telephone number is (818) 885-9000. They will continue to support the product "Dollars and Sense". * This transaction does not take place until the end of June... i.e. they remain Monogram S/W until then, then they go by the name Software Toolworks. * Dollars and Sense 5.0 for the Mac is still planned to be released in ~3-4 weeks, when it comes back from the printers. It has gone through a delay to work out a few bugs/requests that came in from their beta testers. * They still have a list of people on their computer list of those who have requested the upgrade to 5.0 from earlier versions (and from those switching from other brands...I assume). I was able to verify that my name was still on the list. * The Compuserve Forum that Monogram has had will be closing in about two weeks. It may or may not reopen as a Software Toolworks forum, depending on what the new management decides to do. * "Dollars and Sense" was the only product Monogram had at the time of this aquisition by ST. "Business Sense" was sold to its original makers...Digital Etc. back in ~December/January (89/90). As far as Monogram knows, they have gone out of business. I mention this here for those who are interested, as I was, in knowing what is going on with Monogram. Supposedly, there was a press release but I have yet to see it. If you have further questions, don't ask me. This is all I know. Call Monogram...as soon as the pre-recorded voices start, press "0" and talk to the operator...its faster and more guaren- teed to get a real human to talk to. If you hear further breaking news, please post to the net.
