Sometimes, for no apparent reason, and more or less unrelated to any 
other activity, the 80 mB hard disk on my IIci (running 6.0.4) starts 
scrabbling *without* the disk activity light coming on.  Launching a 
new application often stops this activity.

There does not seem to be any fault with the disk. I have reloaded the
System, rebuilt the Desktop, scanned for anything nasty with Disinfectant
v1.8, defragged and optimised with SUM II several times, but nothing
seems to remove this `problem'.  I am not aware that I have any odd
DA's/INITS, but am running Gatekeeper v1.1.1 - which has not reported
anything unusual.  Anyone out there got any ideas?
