The modular towerview uses tftp to download the fonts.   The newer
motherboard ROMs also have a button on the setup window for NFS.  Now,
as soon as they release NFS for 32/700s running 1.0 (or greater), I'll
be a happy camper, and can stop using bletcherous tftp.
