I was hoping someone could answer some questions for me. ... 1- What are the naming conventions of the machines, specifically what is the difference between 1S27, 1S81, 4S81 models. Is there a way to distinguish between models with X cpu's vs. Y cpu's. 2- Do CPU upgrades come in batches of 2 CPUs at a time (i.e. colocated on a single board ?) ? 3- Just how symetric is the OS... How much of it needs to be on only one processor at a time ? I belive that it would be impossible to control a system where all processors have concurrent access to critical low level tables with out some sort of latching (therefore serial processing). 4- Any other configuration and performance observations would be appreciated.
