Keywords: Software Message-ID: <8529@brazos.Rice.edu> Date: 5 Jun 90 03:50:30 GMT Sender: root@rice.edu Organization: Sun-Spots Lines: 25 Approved: Sun-Spots@rice.edu X-Sun-Spots-Digest: Volume 9, Issue 198, message 16 I am looking for an editor/word processor for SunView which satisfies the following: (1) Free, or reasonably cheap (not much more than $100 U.S.). (2) Suitable for generating overhead transparencies (I presently use Microsoft Word on a Mac, with font sizes between 12 and 24 pt, bold, underlined, and italic, fonts Helvetica and Times). (3) WYSIWYG or with some kind of page preview, so I can see what my overheads look like before I print them (and preferably while I am editing them). (4) Can make PostScript output files (PostScript printer driver). If you know of or have used such an application, please reply by email. If there is sufficient interest, I will post a summary of replies to the net. Machine/OS details: Sun 3/50 or 3/60, SunOS Release 4.0.3_EXPORT. Thanks in advance, Evan Ireland (E.Ireland@massey.ac.nz), School of Information Sciences, Massey University, Palmerston North, NZ.
