I have created some patches to allow Tomas Rokicki's dvips 5.02
to run under MS-DOS.  Makefiles are supplied for Turbo C 2.0 and 
Microsoft C 5.1.  The Turbo C version is preferred.
The patches are obtainable from labrea.stanford.edu by 
anonymous ftp as pub/dvips502pc.tar.Z.
Note that these are patches - you will also need a copy of
pub/dvips502.tar.Z.

To implement virtual fonts you will need some knowledge about tangle, 
pascal and TeX font metric files.
The following files are needed:
pub/afm.tar.Z
pub/tex/etc/vptovf.web 
pub/tex/local/etc/vptovf.ch

If anyone makes this patch available at another archive site, could
the person doing so please let me know.
