Each set has at least ten diagrams, and I can fit four (2x2) or six (2x3) of them to a page, so each set spans several pages. What I'm looking for is some sort of super figure environment that supports multipage, multipart figures. Ideally, it would say something like `Figure 7: parts (c)--(h)' at the bottom of a page. I looked at subfigure.sty on ymir and that works well enough if the entire figure fits on a single page. Of courser, figures are parboxes and hence cannot be split across multiple pages. This sounds like something that others might have already written. ________________ George V. Reilly gvr@cs.brown.edu uunet!brunix!gvr gvr@browncs.bitnet Box 1910, Brown U, Prov, RI 02912
