Message-ID: Date: 7 Jun 90 08:55:09 GMT Sender: news@chaph.usc.edu Distribution: comp.lang.postscript,comp.text.tex Organization: University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA Lines: 36 I am trying to import postscript output of GemDraw which is running on my IBM-PC into my LaTeX document. I get postscript output by selecting Apple Laser Write Plus on COM1 (actually there is none on COM1), and by redirecting the output to a file. After I get postscript output, I calculate exact BoundingBox and correct the BoundingBox created by GemDraw. Then I use "psfig" to include postscript file in my LaTeX document. Upon completing a test document I tried to print out the final output filtered by "dvi2ps" to LPS-40 print server, but got only a few pages which are suposed to appear after the figure. (imported postscript file). When I tried to print the figure only (by sending GemDraw Output directly to LPS-40), I got the output as I expected. As I could get the correct output with FrameMaker 1.3 by applying the same procedure as described above, I thought that it would work with GemDraw, too. Did anybody have any experience with GemDraw to prepare figure for LaTeX document ? I think if there is a way to convert postscript output to encapsulated postscript format, my problem might be solved. I also heard that the LaTeX ("psfig") complains about the output of Frame Maker 2.0. Please e-mail me or post any comments and information. If there are enough interests I will post a summary.
