I have a paper by V. Jarnik in my bibtex file; Jarnik has an acute accent on the i, so the i must be dotless. I've tried author = "V. Jarn{\'\i}k", author = "V. Jarn{\'{\i}}k", author = "V. {Jarn\'{\i}k}", and several others, but all result in the i simply disappearing from the name. (The accent is there, however.) Any suggestions? I don't read this newsgroup, so please send mail to shallit@dartmouth.edu. --shallit
