Message-ID: <81188@tut.cis.ohio-state.edu> Date: 5 Jun 90 01:33:30 GMT Sender: news@tut.cis.ohio-state.edu Reply-To: Misha Distribution: usa Organization: Ohio State University Computer and Information Science Lines: 16 I am looking to be able to see the control characters that are present in a specific file that is created. Is there any way to use, vi, ex, mg, or emacs, ( or GNUemacs for that matter ) to display the control characters? When I mean control characters I refer to ^L page breaks and ^M linefeeds (?) theses are the type of characters that I want to see in the file. I am running Bezerkley Unix4.2 using SunOS 3.5.1 on sun 3/50's. I thank you for your time, and I will post the answers to this question in a summary. wayne schmidt +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ wayne-s@cis.ohio-state.edu schmidt@ohstpy.mps.ohio-state.edu +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
