To demonstrate, I plan to use a Compaq Portable 386 running Xenix 2.3.3. The Compaq normally displays on an internal plasma but is capable of redirecting output to a standard CGA port. I would like to use that port to attach to an LCD overlay for an overhead projector. Under DOS, the key sequences Cntl/Alt/[<>] change the output between the plasma and the port. Under Xenix, I've been told that the commands vidi cpq[01] do the same thing. But they don't work when I try them. The "cpq" arguments are not mentioned in my manual but they are present in the output of 'strings /bin/vidi'. Using the commands causes the plasma to wink, but output remains where it was. My vidi is: -rwx--x--x 1 bin bin 14744 Jun 1 1988 /bin/vidi Is there a newer version? Does anyone know where my problem might lie? Any advice is appreciated.
