does anyone have a subclass to ``viewport'' that be boundly
extensible?

i.e. I want a viewport to be as big as the enclosing widget would like
be, but no bigger than some (settable) bound. Operationally, the
viewport would shrink/grow whenever the subwidget would shrink/grow,
unless the subwindow tried to get too big, at which point scrollbars
would popup & you could pan around.
