A proper diet will prevent weight gain in most individuals even those in wheelchairs. If you eat like a pig then expect to gain weight. If you eat a sensible diet then you can maintain a sensible weight. For example, a light breakfast of tea and a waffle with jelly. Lunch can be any fruits or raw vegetables with a diet soda. Dinner is whatever you want in reasonable portions and without evening snacks and deserts. Total calories for the day should be about 3000.
