PG> My six years hard labor in prison - had lots of women "hugging" me. Us ex-prisoners find that these "friends" can't handle the full reality - just an idealized version of whatever we are supposed to represent. In the world of disabled people, the same happens. So many well-meaning persons "fall in love" with a disabled person. But in the full reality of the relationship, the "do-gooder" changes his or her "mind" - "falling out of love". I realize that some people in this conference can't handle reality. I have described reality as I have seen it. I guess that I am saying -- BE HONEST! All the best wishes & hugs mean nothing, in the face of harsh political realities! -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!3!712!631!Greg.See-Kee Internet: Greg.See-Kee@f631.n712.z3.fidonet.org
