Let me introduce myself first... My name's Bob Hawbaker, I'm a student at California State University of Northridge (CSUN), and I'm profoundly deaf myself. In the fall, I'll be going back to CSUN and roommating with another deaf student. He is interested in getting a hearing dog which I think is a great idea. But I am wondering about the dog, since we will be out of home often, going to school or doing things like that. He is prepared to take all responible which I know he will, but I am wondering about the enivorment for the dog since it will be different. The dog will have to stay in the dorm. room most of the time (the place is pretty large -- it's like a apt. with everything in it). I would like to get some opinions on this.
