The focus of the workshop will be the communication needs of those with functional impairments and the role of new technologies in meeting (or missing) those needs. The agenda will include an overview of the scope of the need, a review of the equipment and services currently available, the current legal and regulatory environment, presentations on current projects under development, and a roundtable on the major accessibility issues for user interface designers in the 1990s.
