What comes to mind about the dog is that if it was in a `normal' situation where the owner went to work or school and it was left alone there would probably be no problem - so I don't think there will be a problem unless the dog is going to be left and ignored for too many hours. If the dog is trained and certified it can be taken to classes (great ice breaker with people - but terrible ego crusher since people tend to remember the dog and not the owner - (GRIN) ).
